As a year seven at Oruaiti school this year, I have found that I have grown in many different ways since last year such as my confidence for many different things such as the production and kapa haka, my learning journey in class and even making many diffrent aged friends such as the year 8s. I feel like this year compared to last year was an even better year because I have learnt more helpful things with my teacher to guide the way and with only one more year at this amazing school I hope that I continue growing to my fullest . This year wouldn’t have been possible without all the lovely staff.

On Tuesday we had to do our speeches in front of the class. I felt like there was blood pumping through my body like never before. My adrenaline was out of the park I was shaking soo much but at least I had my friends that were also scared so I guess we all calmed eachother down in some sort of way.  But the thing that was freaking us out the most was probably not knowing what order we would go in. I had to wait for what it felt like forever. But Maliya reminded me why you have to be brave.

So when it was my turn I just decided to get over and done with it because it would all be over by lunch time. So I stood up and got it done. And at the start of it I wasn’t very nervous but when I messed up a bit it kinda kicked a nerve but anyways at least I got it done and overall i’m very proud of myself.

In Naigo class today we did a Manaiakalani task which was a all about me poster. I felt that it was very fun and I learnt how to use Google Draw more instead of using Canva. By Cattleya

This week in Naigo class we learned a few new games with Gina from Sport Northland. We got into team of fives, or six.We started off by Gina saying that she was going to number us off one, two, three, four. My team included Ariya, Alec, Kaipara,Nicole, and  Karah-Jade. Then Gina put these cones in the middle and then she said to line up behind the yellow line. After we started the first person in line ran to get a cone and drop it back at base. After a round we decided to add points to the cones blue was five, green was ten, yellow was three, white was two, and red and orange were one. Another round started and BAM! we were all running Alec, Jay-Jay, and Rouke dived  for the green because there was only two. Sadly we didn’t get one. Once everyone ran we tried to count the points but everyone forgot the values of them.

We went and sat down on the blue mat and Gina explained to us that we were going to play the game from last week which was when everybody runs around and try’s to steal all the bibs but you have teams.Gina then told us to get a bib and to tuck it in like a ripper tag. Once again it was the same teams. The round begins with thirty seconds then a minute etc. She then called out and said GO! Everybody started running the teams took tag after tag when she called stop go to your bases we had to count our tags we had ten some other teams had six, seven, and four.

Then we sat down on the mat again and Gina explained a new game to us. It was like netball where you couldn’t move as normal and that we could intercept the netballs. Ariya, Kaipara and Alec were running around taging people with the ball while I was trying to intercept the other netballs. In the end my team got two netballs.

If I had never learnt to time travel none of this would have happened.

I was stranded on a desserted island. I wondered what year it was? There were werid flying bugs.

I tried to time travel back to 2024 and I knew it was a few hours away from being 2025. I knew that I had to hurry. I started to look around to see if there was food around such as fruits.

I got some wood and a piece of leather that I found and made a little camp site.

It was morning by the Time I woke up, it was about 6:30am. I decided to get up and go see if there and go see if there were any animals around.

I stumbled across an injured wolf. So I carried it back to my camp site. It looked like she had a bear trap stuck to her foot. I took it out and made her a splint.

I looked around and saw a rock and a stick that could look like a axe so I  made a axe and chopped down a tree and got some wood but I remembered that I had to be quick because I had to be back for new years.

I made a spear with my resorces that I collected and hunted for a bit while the wolf rested I thought about what to name her.

I then found a pack of deer and I threw the spear at it and bullseye! I dragged a buck back to the camp site.

And I saw the wolf she had started to walk around the camp site but she was limping which meant her foot was still sore.

I found a note at the campsite and it said 5th of December 1853 and then I relized that the year was 1853…..

Challenges:I felt that it was challenging that when my brother got home because I would get in trouble for stealing his food and stuff. The second challenge was that I really wanted to call my cousin but she was not aloud to and I missed her.

I am Grateful for: The time I spent with my grandma. That my mum bought me Twilight Breaking Dwan pt 2. And for being able to go-to my Grandparents house.

Yesterday I did not go to cross country because I told my mum I was sick so I went to my grandparents house and when I arrived I made some nice brownies with my grandma and then I went on my computer and I started making my brother’s soccer teams certificates because my dad asked me to. Then I decided to go to Disney and watch movies because I was bored and then we had morning tea. After morning tea I went back to watch another movie. I was watching Princess Diaries 2.   After a long time I realized I had to get back to the certificates so I went back on and I kept writing them. Then it was Lunch time I had a hotdog and  I also had chips with it and then I was done the certificates The End.
